Bihar Day is celebrated annually on 22 March in the Indian state of Bihar. The day marks the anniversary of the formation of the state in 1912, when it was carved out of the Bengal Presidency during the British Raj.

Traditions and Events
Bihar Day is celebrated with great pomp and ceremony, including:

Cultural Programmes: Dance and music performances, including traditional Bihari dances like Jat-Jatin and Chhau.

Exhibitions and Fairs: Handicrafts, lacquer wood products, silk fabrics from Bhagalpur and other traditional products are on display.

Educational Events: Lectures and workshops on the history and cultural heritage of Bihar.

Sports Competitions: Marathons, football and cricket tournaments are organised.

Food Festivals. They feature traditional Bihari cuisine including litti chokha, theekwa and satu parantha.
